ENO-GASTRO DAYS OF SALT FESTIVAL

Pelješac invites you to a unique eno-gastro experience!

From August 28th to September 15th, 2024, you can indulge in delicious local Pelješac dishes and favorite Plavac wines at affordable festival prices.

Family farms, restaurants, taverns, wineries, boat operators, and shellfish farmers from across the peninsula have come together to offer you the opportunity to enjoy tasty local dishes, Pelješac delicacies, and favorite Plavac wines at reasonable prices.

If you visit the peninsula during the festival, you’ll find discounts on selected labels in wineries, specially curated menus at restaurants at affordable prices—which, of course, include a glass of Pelješac wine—and shellfish farmers will take you on a tour of the Mali Ston Bay to their oyster farms, where you can taste fresh oysters paired with a drop of Pelješac Plavac Mali wine.

All four tourist boards from Pelješac are participating in this project—Ston, Janjina, Orebić, and Trpanj—along with the support of associations such as the Ston Shellfish Farmers, Pelješac Wine Routes, Plavac Mali Pelješac, Solana Ston, and the Amoreta Association, the originator of the Salt Festival in Ston.

Now is the perfect time to head south and discover the untouched nature of Pelješac, its beautiful beaches and walking paths, vast vineyards that cascade down to the crystal blue sea, rich heritage, picturesque towns, and to enjoy the renowned oysters, excellent Mediterranean cuisine, and powerful Plavac wines that are the talk of the wine world, as well as to explore the charms of the oldest saltworks in the Mediterranean, Solana Ston.
